I can’t stand when people from Hawaii say “I can’t wait to get off this island and make something of myself”. Um hello! You can “be someone” in Hawaii. Just because you go to the mainland, doesn’t mean you’re “making something of yourself”. The fuck?! If you’re a loser in Hawaii, I’m pretty sure…

I agree but, I can understand why people may feel that there are more opportunities elsewhere. However, people need to realize that there are just as much here and in perspective living here is truly a unique experience vs. the mainland! Thankful!
